BBQ Month: Ways To Eat Beloved Side Items

It’s that time again. Barbecue Month time! Summer is the best time of the year if only for the fact that it is the quintessential barbecue season. But while we love barbecue, like a mouth-watering mound of marinated pulled pork or a rack of beer-battered and braised baby backs, we equally cannot resist the traditional barbecue side items, namely, baked beans and potato salad.

Ladies and gentlemen, we dedicate Barbecue Month 2015 to our products that will make scooping these delectable sides a much easier and rewarding experience for those of us who have trouble scooping and using regular plates and utensils. You will find that our variety of Freedom Dinnerware plates and bowls offer the best of all worlds: an easy-to-use suction base and strategically contoured shapes.

Suction base prevents BBQ spills

When you place your plate of barbecue and side items on the table, there are at least two risk factors that necessitate the use of our super-stable suction pad base design. 1) It prevents other barbecue fans from stealing it right out from under your nose, and most importantly, 2) it allows you to scoop those baked beans and that potato salad without the plate sliding all over the table.

Look how easy it really is

Simply turn the Freedom Dinnerware plate of your choice upside down, screw on the suction pad base and turn the plate upright to place on the table. Easily remove the base from the table by lifting one of the corner tabs. This strategic design makes the base stick to the table like dry rub on spareribs but lets you pull it off more easily than meat from a Boston butt.

When it comes to scooping baked beans and potato salad, the plate we recommend is the Freedom Scoop Plate because of its raised side. This allows you to scoop the food up the side and onto your spoon or fork without accidentally dumping food onto the table. No man overboard!

However, if you are picky about your food touching and wish to eat your beans and potatoes separately, the Freedom Divided Plate is what you’re looking for. Its high sides and divider walls let you keep your food separate while also providing a way to scoop easily.
